Hey! Welcome to my blog! Before you read anything else, you probably want to know a little bit about me . . . but ever since I started college I realized that you can no longer just introduce yourself with your name, you always need at least one fun fact and an interesting major. I’m an exercise science major, and that’s not very interesting, so I always have to come up with a realllllllly cool fun fact. Because I typically don’t think before I open my mouth, I always say the first thing that comes to mind:
“Hi! My name’s Elizabeth, and one time I was hit by a bike!”
Yeah. That’s why I don’t have many friends. (Props to the ones who decided to love me after that great introduction!) But anyways, now we can move on! I’m 18 and am a freshman at a little college in Kentucky. Once I started college, I realized that my group of really close friends (who all had the same values and beliefs as me) were gone and that my faith was about to be challenged. Throughout my first semester I continuously struggled with finding new, Christian friends who I could rely on when my world started getting tough. I’ve found a few, but living without people constantly challenging you to be the best Christian you can be can often be difficult; and that’s why I’ve started blogging! I want to be able to reach out to other women like me who feel as if they’re the only one in the entire world who wants to try to live a pure and religious life. In my blog, I would like to focus not only on the struggles of college life but specifically on the dating side of things. I want to encourage others to be strong in what they believe in and resist the temptations a relationship can bring, because, in my opinion, you can’t have a good relationship without Christ at the center of it! I believe that my body is a gift from God and that I should strive to live a life of purity and save myself for my future husband. I’m not going to go into all of my funny little beliefs and thoughts on that right now, but they’ll most likely come later 😉 I think that’s pretty much it! Oh! I really like country music. And have an unhealthy obsession with Taylor Swift. And, I know, I know, it’s weird, but I don’t like chocolate.
